How to Replace ST170 Rocker Cover Gasket | It Looks So Much Better

Today I finally got round to replacing my Rocker cover (Cam Cover)
in this video I will be showing you, How to replace the gasket and how much better my engine bay looks with a freshly painted rocker cover.

Done this last year. But I suggset getting that rocket cover off again and sandblast or brush to metal the ways in which the gasket sits, the old crusty paint is what allows the oil to seep out.

Nice job, have a bit of oil around the spark plugs, bit of a misfire too. New gasket needed methinks, thanx for the info. SVT owner 🙃

What paint did you use fir rocker cover @ Joshua please

Did you use high temp paint or just rattle can with clear coat ?

Hi I wanted to ask if I get a new cluster will my mileage go or I just buy one and just put the new one on

The mileage is saved to the instrument cluster so if you bought another it would read the mileage of the car it came out of. You would need to go to ford to have it corrected

If its leaking or you want to spray your rocker cover change it buddy... if not then I'd leave it mate 🤓👍I don't think there is a set mileage or age that it requires changing I thinks its just as and when you want to

@@jpst170 sorry bud I meant the timing belt and also when I come off motorway and I want to accelerat the speed doesn’t go up quickly would you happen to know that

@@mfamily3173 if you have no proof of it been done before then for piece of mind I'd get it done otherwise I think the interval is IIRC every 70K miles or every 10 years which ever comes first 🤓👍
