Man, you saved me quite a few steps! Another video I watched removed the exhaust header and a bunch of other stuff before getting to the starter itself! Thanks for posting this!🤠👍

I started not to watch because, as I’m sure you know, you have a pretty foul mouth. So I thought I’m just gonna hang in here and see what this cat knows.... You did a great job! You showed everything we needed to get the job done and gave simple, to the point instructions

Pretty tame language for a mechanic lol

I like the way you film this and did the voice-over looks great I've come across a few starter motors with three bolts it seems like you're working on the flat rate system we don't have that over here how does it work

Thanks to all who forge the way on projects then to those who try to make it a bit easier. After looking at other vids and trying one myself today , you do not have to remove exhaust heat shield. I removed air cleaner box, the 2- 10mm bolts on the brackets for lower water hose and 1 trans hose. I pulled the radiator hose and zip tied it out of way, I undid the 4 bolts holding the trans fluid contraption and zip tied it pulling it up and close to the fan. the 4 10mm bolts on heat shield over starter are easy to get to.It wiggled out pretty easy. Starter bolts accessible, then wiggled starter nose down to get access to Power cables. Then twisted starter up and out.. Reversed directions and the hour and a half job done.

Not sure if trolling or stubborn Can you please post link to your instructional video? Or do you just post critical comments on others?

Hey Philip: I watch many vids on projects I'm starting. They all are for the most part very good. I then dive in. I'm older and do not vid. I tried but I rambled and it was very bad.. So I do try to add what I experienced to those that have forged the paths. Which I am very greatful for.

I've watched a couple videos now. One eclipse, and this outlander. It was pretty much the same. These Mitsubishi largely the same? I have an 07 eclipse spyder, i suspect the starter is struggling a bit.

I need to do this on my uncle's 09 model, how different would it be? There's a £50 surcharge when you buy a new one if you don't hand in the old one.
@roskoe7 Жыл бұрын
the model i have to do it on is horrible plastic intake with barely enough space to fit it through somehow i got the old one out but new one is identical but seems it wont fit back in doing my head in if i cant get it in i might have to just loosen the manifold by now if i did that straight away it would probably be in

I got 2010 Outlander and I tried to remove mine but there is even less space then in your car so I had to give it to the shop. Could not get to it after 2 hours. Nightmare.

Anybody know how to remove a 2009 outlander starter. Slightly less room than this one. Removed all bolts but there isn't enough room to pull out, its banging against the engine.

take out the throttle body intake and battery, and attack it from the top & bottom, i have to do it & that is what a mechanic at dealer told me to do, but he said he knows how to do it without taking out the throttle intake body, idk, i hate to take out the full intake plenum, you know what i mean

Speaking to fast. Bad light in the film. And please don`t move the camera so fast, when filming.
