How To Replace Supplying Demand W11177741 Dishwasher Door Gasket Seal

Replacement and Installation Demonstration of the Supplying Demand W11177741 Dishwasher Door Gasket Seal installed on Maytag Dishwasher model MDB4949SHZ1.
This can be an intricate, time-consuming, raw-fingertips-kinda repair. Take your time. You may end up redoing it, and that's okay. I used a plastic pry tool purchased from an auto parts store to assist me with getting the gasket into the groove on the dishwasher, sparing my fingertips. If you watch the sped-up video, you'll see I'm almost finished installing the gasket before realizing it's too short on one side. So, I had to pull out a section of the installed gasket, even it out, inch-worm it along until I smoothed out the ripple, and the gasket was perfectly even on both sides. There's no shortcuts. Just take your time on this repair to ensure it's properly installed. Don't forget to test and check for leaks. Adhesive, grease, and/or silicone sealant is not required for this repair.
