How to replace the alernator on a Honda Civic (96-00), CR-V (97-01), Acura Integra (94-00)

96 Honda civic dx removed it after reading a comment here. You can just removed the 2 bolts on splash guard and slide it out. Saves you so much time

I did it on a 96 honda civic dx and was able to get it out through the bottom without removing engine mount.

@@Pookie2419 i have mine half removed just rn...it's exactly same situation as teh video. i'm lowering the engine and turning the alternator in all positions and considering removing the driveaxle just because there is not enough space...

@@john-mi1ud honestly, there's another video on youtube that shows you how to remove it without going thru the steps that this video is taking you. I removed the alternator without lowering the engine but it was a very tight fit. It came down to turning the alternator in the right position, to ease and wiggle it out.

Just a heads up.. just remove the lower bracket and the alternator itself. Comes right out next to the tire and plastic cowling.

You can remove from the top on a crv. I just did it & it only took an hour or two. A bit tricky but persistence pays off

I got mine out the bottom by taking off the oil filter. 98 ex Honda civic. But i had already taken out the drive axle.

I wonder if those should just purchase an intake manifold gasket. Then remove the manifold and the alternator is right there

You dont have to take axles out Just move master cyl out of way abd my ve pwer steer line over 2 nuts Thats

For a 97 civic coupe you can not pull it from the top. There is no possibility. Not even enough clearance.

@@thronewalker1153 i believe that. Sometimes in the manual it says drop the axel or lift the engine, when you don't always have to or at least fully remove stuff. It's tight in these hondas- I can see a coup being extra tight.
