I really appreciate the knowledge that the left bracket under the throttle body is a separate part with it's own bolt! I managed to get my old one off without moving that, but couldn't tetris the new one in. I was worried I'd have to take the throttle body with its single-use crush gaskets off, but it's great to know I don't! Thanks!

Thanks a lot. For the last week I have searched for accurate info on how to do this job on a 906 engine. I am doing this job on a 08 MB Sprinter the coming week-end and finally I found an informative video that makes me confident enough to diy. Please continue the good work.

My local spot charged me 1500 for changing all pulleys, tensioner, fan support bearing, new coolant and both belts. "all oem parts" does that sound high? Seems about 300 over by my calculations.

Like it. does the fan clutch loosen COUNTER clockwise or clockwise ? I have a fan clutch wrench tool from Snap On that attaches to my air impact for loosening and re-titening. I see you use a big hammer. Did you use that for the fan clutch beating ? I have 254K on my 2013 and it just started to sequel LOUD so I assume it is an idler bearing, fan drive bearing or tensioner bearing. Hard to pinpoint exactly so I'm changing them all. Got all my OEM parts from Europarts of San Diego for $287.00 A huge savings over Stealership cost for anyone else with a Sprinter.

I think I just used a big pair of channel locks to tighten it up. Just snugged it up. I also found out that when I went back to replace the lower belt tensioner that I could not get the bolt out because of the fan shroud is in the way. So now I'm going to have to remove the fan and shroud just to get the bolt out of that tensioner so I would recommend replacing it if your engine has it.
