Very easy guide to replace the blower fan in your Yukon XL, but also works for most trucks or suburbans of this generation.

Shop was going to charge me 500$ to replace the blower. I watched this video and found out it was one of the wires from the resistor that had burnt a little and come lose. It is literally this easy guys, no need for a shop on this one. Thanks for the great video.

Update. I am soooooo grateful you posted this video!!! It was a lifesaver for me. I just recently bought this GMC from a church member's friend whose a stranger to me. When I opened it up, there was an INSANE amount of Trash inside which is exactly why the fan / a/c was not working. It definitely took me longer than this video because I spent 2 hours just cleaning out trash but my fan in the front is working now and I'm so grateful. You definitely saved me some money !

Great video. I've only ever had to do this with a '95 Nissan Pathfinder back in the day. Now I have an '03 Yukon Denali XL with an ever elusive mouse problem. I will be pulling blower motor assy to ensure proper cleaning and sterilizing. Fun with rodents 101. Grrr! Again, great vid.

I got as far as pushing the tab to rotate the old blower. Took me maybe only 10-minutes to get to that point. After I pulled the tab, the old blower rotated nice and free a few degrees and it felt like it was gonna drop right out, but it WOULD! NOT! FREAKIN’! COME OUT! It wouldn’t even drop a millimeter. No matter how hard I pulled and or rotated back n’ forth and wiggled on that sucker-no go. There was nothing visible keeping it from coming out. After about 3-hours, I was full-on Charlie Manson. I busted the old blower up with a hammer & chisel, pliers and whatnot, until it had no choice but to FALL out in several small pieces. Slipped the new blower in with no problem at all. Swapped out the filters, put ‘er back together (maybe another 10-15 minutes) and she’s running great! I hate working on cars. How much do I hate it? So much, I think I’d rather shove a chimney brush up my own butt.

It can still be a challenge getting the blower motor to go in accurately

What if my ac and heater make a clicking noise when ac or heater are on
@thechaindude13204 жыл бұрын
David Q it might be a piece of the foam that goes around the blower motor or a piece of debris in the blower. My ‘01 Silverado has this problem and I plan to try to fix it tomorrow 😅
