Today I show you guys how to replace a blower motor on a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500. Also I show how to figure out if the blower motor is bad. I recommend buying the blower motor from 1a auto

Thanks for this great how to. The motor in our truck ran but with little air and LOTS of noise. Followed your instructions plus pulled the little rectangle resistor to the left of the motor (the cavity there was full of fir needles and leaves) and found the blower wheel half full of needles, leaves and a blue shop rag. All cleaned and reassembled (except for that dang screw at the back which I just left out, figuring the cowling wound hold it well enough for a 20 year old truck). Pretty proud of myself as a 75 year old woman with little mechanic-ing experience. Love all you guys that do KZbin How-tos. Saves us bundles!

Thanks for the video. Immensly helpful. Nothing wrong with blower motor. Broke tab taking it out. Had to replace it anyways. Resister module bad. Motor housing completlely clogged with shredded insulation. Rodents!!!

@@Saennuc I think I got on it somehow with a flexible socket. Been a while since. Just keep trying until you get it off. I didn't put mine back on . The rest is easy.

Alternative: First set of screws should be #7s. Mine are. Blower motor screws and Cabon Air Filter screw were #5.5 (or 6 worked too)

Is that a 1/4” drive flex extension or a bit extension you used for the back bolt? I cannot find that particular one anywhere…where did you get it?

Hey there. I'm having some issues with my heater not working on my 2000 chevy silverado 1500. I've already replaced the Blower Motor and the Blower motor resistor and I'm still on no heat. What else can it be?

Any idea why I’m not getting much air flow out of my 2002 , filters are brand new door actuators work and blower motor works . Sounds like it blowing air but not feeling to much air come out of the vents
@Nick-bp8ze5 жыл бұрын
I would try flipping the cabin air filters 180. Probably have the wrong end facing the blower motor

Nick’s knuckle breakin’ fixin’ channel Bought a blower motor thought it to be my last resort as it was working, put in the brand new one and the flow was stronger than ever. I appreciate you providing the content that way I knew how to put the new one in

IF you can't even hold the camera STILL....how can we trust you know what you're doing and telling us to do with the blower ???? DUH??? In order to be a farmer and grow crops for sale, one first has to learn how to use the tools. On the DIY School for Dummies Book, you jumped right over pages one through and one hundred and thought you could go right to the last page. Not too many people have been successful with that approach.
