THANK YOU! I bought this blower because of your original review and I found it not working this year. I was sure it was the carb, but I was worried about attempting to replace the carb. Your step by step instructions were all I needed. Now it runs like a charm. Thank you again!

You need to use pure gas. Non ethonal gas. The ethonal evaporates and gums up the carb. If you cant get pure gas, use a gas stabilizer

I think it's E10 petrol sat in the tank for a while which ruins the carb. I am told the ethanol separates and condenses. some lawn mower dealers won't cover the warranty now if you use E10 (they recommend Alkylite petrol)
@MrGardener18 Жыл бұрын
This problem happen before and continued once they switched to E10. I've tried leaving it dry, I've tried with aspen The results is the same. The only way to avoid it is to run it every week and let not let the fuel get to old as you said.
@kikimoruko4 жыл бұрын
I too am experiencing this problem, it starts 1st or 2nd pull every time and will tick over all day long if you let it but as soon as you touch the throttle it will stall. I stripped my carb expecting a blockage in the main jet but it was spotless and close examination of the filters in the tank and carb body would suggest any particles entering the main body is highly unlikely. Before I buy a replacement did you consider changing the metering diaphragm and other gaskets as an alternative to just replacing the whole carb? Mine is just over a year old and hasn't done any work. Can anyone shed some light or the cause for it to stop working, it can't be wear and blockage seems unlikely even though all the classic symptoms are all there.
@MrGardener184 жыл бұрын
That is exactly what happens to ours. like you I've clean the carb expecting a blockage but nothing. It seems it's a fault with this specific blower or carb. I think it's definitely worth getting the replacement parts for the carb to see if that works rather than forking out for a whole new carb. Please do let me know if it works I hope it does.
@kikimoruko4 жыл бұрын
@@MrGardener18 I really have put this one under the microscope and the only thing that stops me from buying the gaskets and metering diaphragm is the little one way valve in the carb body which does not appear to be replaceable, it seems to be working but you cant tell just by sucking and blowing on it. if this is the cause then it has to be a new carb. I can email you the pictures if you would find it helpful.

@@kikimoruko hello can you tell me what was the out come in the end for the problem you had, mine did the same thing after less than a year so I got a replacement machine but now into the second season it has happened again, I blame a breakdown of fuel left in the machine for a long period. You mentioned the one way valve in the carb but what was the end result. TIA
@kikimoruko3 жыл бұрын
@@paulmarley754 Hi Paul, sorry I only noticed your post late last night. I studied this problem for ages then as I didn't need the blower I put it to the back of the shed until this morning when I ordered a new carb from the link given earlier. The only thing I am sure of is that there is absolutely no wear on any of the metal parts so I'm thinking that it must be some deterioration of the rubber parts although I have failed to find any perforations in the diaphragm. After looking at it again this morning, replacing the metering diaphragm and gaskets may well have solved the problem for less than half the price.
@pedrosmits Жыл бұрын
@@kikimorukowe solved this problem. You need to buy a micro D screwdriver. You can adjust the carb in full throttle. Put the screwdriver in the little hole on the back. There’s a little 4 mm pocket with a D-screw. You need to adjust it, turn it counter clockwise. Look at your ignitor, it’s likely too white. A signal you need an richer fuel mix.

Hi there. I changed the carb but unfortunately it’s still cutting out on full throttle. Do you have any other suggestions? Maybe spark plug? Thanks so much. Michelle
@MrGardener182 ай бұрын
@@michelleguestgornall usually changing the carb dose it at least for a while. In terms of other options checking the spark plug, fuel filter and general engine maintenance would be a good place to check. The spark arrestor in the exhaust can be a problem getting clogged up.
