I got my trx450er 2008 I was out riding today and then my clutch stoped working I couldn’t put in clutch to put in neutral Why would that happen and how to fix it

so i have this same bike and i rode it in WV a fw weeks ago, it did super strong i got it back home drove it up the road and cleaned it, brought it back and parked it, lately it has been pretty cold here in NC and i have had no success starting it, but what changed that doesnt make sense to me is that now if i put it in gear and hold the clutch it wont roll freely, it just locks up the rear wheels as if the clutch is not engaged, the only thing i had done to it was fix my handlebars that cracked, and then reassembled it. any ideas a buddy said my oil on the left side could be low, i imagine it has to be something simple

Why do some people claim the last fiber should be offset in the shallow grooves on the basket and some people don't? I see you didn't do it here but the notch is there?

Generally it won't make a big impact either way and you likely won't notice regardless of if you offset or not. But when in doubt follow the service manual for your machine and offset the last friction disk.

@@rmatvmc Thanks for the reply! I'm ditching my CRF450RWE's judder spring shortly and I've been researching it. There's videos on here claiming it should be offset, my stock basket has the grooves but the service manual doesn't mention it, lol. Pretty sure the Hinson basket in it now doesn't even have the grooves so 🤷🏻 Just gonna send it 🤘🏻

Order a 06 crf450r clutch kit and remove the judder springs and add a extra fiber. So finer steel fiber steel and end with a diva as well

Agreed Edward - same here - manual reads the Judder spring should be concave side out (concave is dish shaped). unless i am totally misunderstanding something this video is incorrect and probably messing alot of people up. RM is very reputable but again i believe the judder spring orientation in this video is wrong
