Thanks for this. I've had the same problem, my switch works, but only if pushed with something else.. I think I'm gonna put a fat dot of jb weld on my clutch lever to make it push further,, at least until the switch completely fails.

Maybe just super glue a tiny washer to it?

@boebr1 and that might be the new plan.

One of the service guys I talked to mentioned sometimes soldering it causing it to get pissed off and throw codes due to the change in resistance. Says sometimes the ECM is sensitive to such things. The video is a year old. Still going strong?

@@acethedisturbed yes, still working well! I wish there was room to have used butt connectors, but there really wasn't

@@acethedisturbed the bike is only stopped inside during the winter. The riding season sees it outside in the driveway through all the rain, unexpected snowfalls, hot sun, etc. Haven't had a problem at all

@boebr1 that's great to know, thank you! I just did this myself the other day, and I'm happy to hear it has staying power as well. Honestly I barely had room to even twist the wires before soldering, so I don't blame you. Twist solder tape, for me. Worked well enough.
