How to Replace the Crankshaft Sensor on a BMW 335d M57 Diesel

Thank you, my 320d has the same sensor and couldn't find any info on it anywhere. Followed this, except I had to drop the box to get at starter top bolt with gun. The bolt was gunned on before too tight. Cheers dude.

My car stalled 3 times at idle over the past month. Twice when stopped at a red light and another time while parked. No codes were pulled when I scanned the car. Last weekend it lost power while I was driving in third gear. This time I pulled a crankshaft sensor fault and replaced it this past Wednesday. Hopefully all is good from here on out. It was the original one that went bad. 2009 BMW 335d with 160,000 kms on it. (100,000 miles)
