Nice vid but the only thing I would add is before you pump the breaks, you need to put the break cap back on. And the placement of the jack stand might damage your lower door area. Hummmmm

better off leaving the cap on from the start to finish and cracking the bleed screw to give that fluid somewhere to go. I don't care how well you try clean the master cylinder you will risk contaminating that fluid.

That notch / crushed spot is pre molded into my 2018 challenger rocker panel and the rocker is plastic

You can raise just one wheel at a time. Would never recommend raising both sides on jack stands. Always keep that floor jack under the car supporting it with jack stand as a backup support. No need to remove the master cylinder cap, JUST LOOSEN IT to relieve any pressure.

Well, if that's how Haynes recommends the repair, I'll be recommending a different manual! Haynes lost major credibility with this one! Repairing the brakes should not include damaging the rocker panels, and that is NOT the correct place to put the jack stand! Not to mention...130 ft lbs on lug nuts?! Where's the video on pulling the hubs and replacing studs?! Oh wait, I don't want to know how they do it....

We understand supporting the car and bending the plastic rocker panel can be bothersome. At the time, these were the only jackstands we had on hand for our project vehicle and although it does deform the rocker panel slightly when lowering the car onto the stand, the panel re-formed back into place when the job was done and vehicle lowered. It is indeed an acceptable place for the jack and stands on this unibody frame, just use a jackstand with a less-contoured head. Lug nut torque is: 130 ft-lbs on the base model and 111 ft-lbs for SRT models (2014 thru 2018). All 2008 thru 2013 models is 110 ft-lbs. This should be indicated in the Haynes book, and we we’ll have this corrected and updated here. Thank you for watching.
