How to replace the fuel filter on your 2000-2006 W203 C-class Mercedes Benz

How to remove and replace the fuel filter on the W203 C-class Mercedes Benz. When removing the fuel filter fuel will drain out, so have something to collect it. This is only for the w203 body style in 2007, it does not work for the newer w204 body style.

If you just pull the fuel pump relay beforehand, it’ll release the pressure to the fuel lines. Less mess and less fuss at the filter.

Mine sputtered and almost shut down like bogged down is this a filter problem? 2004 c320 4matic 98k miles on it.

It could be, but I would also check air filters, sparkplugs, and possibly a vacuum leak

Is the fuel pump on the passenger side or the driver side

I know it's under the back seat but I'm not sure what side the main fuel pump is on

Всем привет, с230, 2005г, рестайлинг мотор W образка. Заводится всё четко всё отлично работает, только когда начинаешь обороты завышать (или длительные дороги) обороты 3,5-4. Машине будто воздуха не хватает и на нитралке обороты сама начинает повышать и на драйве машину кидает (машина на автомате) если долго стою не газую машина тупо вырубается. На дороге при оборотах едет уверено если газ отпускаю та же история либо машина отключается либо обороты сама поднимает (будто перебои). Ели до дома доезжаю и оставляю остывать на утро как ни в чем не бывало заводится сразу же. Пожалуйста помогите куда уже не ходил.

My 2001 C240 Elegance automatic struggles constantly losing power and just randomly goes dead whilst driving. It also struggles to pull between 0-60km/h, but anything over 60km/h it drives like an absolute dream. Do I replace the fuel filter or the fuel pump. Or do I replace both. I'm a first time buyer so if my questions sounds stupid, please don't insult me.. I'm literally clueless when it comes to these things 😅

I would start with the fuel filter since it's cheaper and then maybe the fuel pump. It could also be dirty air filters.

What size hose clamps?

5/8 in hose clamps should work.

Great video. I have a 2005 slk350, VIN WDBWK56F35F044140. Do you know if the fuel pump and filter are in the same location? Do you know the part numbers for each?

The fuel pump is under the seat, but I don't know the part numbers. Check FCP euro and they'll have the part numbers.

Do you have to prime to get air out

Yes, there is a valve on the fuel injector rail you can press with the key on to release any air.
