How to Replace the Headlight Bulb on a MINI Cooper 2014-2018 (F55, F56)

Nice video, I did the bulb change myself but the black thing closing the headlight fell into my engine bay Any idea on what i do now? Can i order a new one online?

I'd try and fish it out if you can. Otherwise, you can probably get it from any BMW/MIINI dealer's parts department - it might take a few days for it to arrive though.

@@Jackster I've seen someone mentioned elsewhere that H16 PSX24W bulbs fit but you have to trim some of the plastic away but I've not found a video walkthrough explaining how (and as such I don't want to mess around buying the wrong bulbs).

Hey man, I tried to change the DRLs and really struggled too. I gave up when I accidentally broke the clips on one. It still seemed to fit in the housing securely, though, so I decided to just leave it alone at that point.

I just changed it a weeks ago, just hold the clip at the side to detached the light and the power and then twist the tight off, basically there is a plastic to prevent the light came off, so you either break the part or detached it first

Unfortunately I don't have the Mini anymore so I can't make a video about replacing the foglight 😫 I did try replacing the foglight bulbs once, though, and it was a pain - so much so that I think I'd probably take it to the dealer or an independent BMW/MINI place to do it for me.

I did it on my 08 mini and you’re right it is a bit of a pain in the butt, i wanted to know if the process is the same on the newer models. Aw you don’t have a Mimi anymore =(

@@andrewgacayan4770 I think so. Replacing bulbs is something that's described in the manual - it's expecting that the owner can do this themselves. Replacing HIDs or LEDs is something they expect you to take it to the service centre for, so I expect that requires coding.
