Hey Robert! Great video as always! ABS sensor question: I just replaced both of my front ABS sensors and sensor rings while working on other stuff in the front suspension. I was getting 1550 codes (doesn't specify a side). They went in well and I got a nice 'click' when plugging the wire into the socket. After the replacement, The ABS light comes on right away, whereas it would wait a bit in the past. Is there some calibration process for sensors? Is there a way to test that the sensors are reading from the harness side? I'm not beyond the conclusion that the ABS module might need to be repaired. I was also getting speedo dropout previously,

The light usually goes out as soon as you drive to 22 mph. The module is probably bad. Also, the tone rings have to be the same size as the previous ones (size of teeth and teeth count).

Hello Robert, Do you have any video on how to replace the front abs sensor harness? On 1998 volvo s70. It seems like harness cable ends in the circuit box next to the windshield wiper area.

I did post a clip about that in one of my HOWR videos. The wires terminate in the big harness coming off the fuse box near the left strut tower. There is a soldier point in there.

On my Volvo s70 the task of "fishing" the wire back up is not easy. The wires do not go in the same manner as in this video. They are NOT simple to fish up because it seems to be very tight from the entry on top. I tried to put a smaller wire to fish up so that I could use that instead of the sensor wire. However, even that would not go through the tight part by the top entry. I am going to try to lower the fuel tank and see if I am able to access the tight part better, and I will update my findings here.

Yes, run the fuel low then lower it. Be careful not to damage screws.

So after looking at my Volvo again today there is a second hole on top that can be used to fish the wires up. It is just 10-15 cm away from the "primary" hole. I did actually see the secondary hole last time, but when I opened it I was too quick to deem it useless. I made use of the second hole by putting a steel wire (if that is the correct English term) down the hole which I then used to fish the sensor wires up. From the secondary hole, it was easy to redirect the wires into the primary hole(primary hole is the hole seen in the video). And that's it. Lastly, I want to thank you for the video. It was really helpful. Unfortunately, it seems the sensors were not the problem for my S70. Before trying to change the sensors I tried to fix my ABS module, and as the ABS light did not go away I guessed it was the sensors. Seems like it wasn't... Back to the drawing board I guess :d

Hi. after I replaced the rear left wheel sensor. 2007 volvo s40 gives me 2 ABS error codes 0031 and 0041 rear left and right wheel sensors. so the rear sensors have one harness connector? so the issue could be bad harness?
