That’s the way a “how to” video should be done, it covers everything in enough detail to not leave any questions. Great job!

I love the M12 3/8" and 1/4" ratchets that I have. Thanks for a great video. The only thing I would add for anyone looking, is that the lug nuts need a 21mm socket.

For the life of me I can not get my rotors off. I'v had 3 different people here to try and help, and it wiggles around but will not come off. I'v tried bolts, hammer, rust penetrator and everything I can think of.

Good to see you getting sponsored, Brian! Another great informative video. One question though, when you remove a fastener and there's old thread locker on it, what do you use to remove the old thread locker before re installation?
@HowtoAutomotive
@HowtoAutomotive 7 жыл бұрын
Aaron M most of thread locker comes out with the fasteners. So I don't worry about it too much just apply new thread locker and reinstall. If there is a lot left on you can use brake cleaner.

I just got a set of Bosch front and rear brake pads from Amazon and I hope they are what shows on the box inside. I bought a set of Wagner pads from Amazon and the pads inside the box were not what showed on the box.

I had a similar situation with Amazon Warehouse. Someone returned a "new rotor", but what they really did was keep the new one and return the old one.

Fernando that sucks! Hopefully they have a better system for it now.

Bosch brake component may be fine for some European vehicles, but I would stick with using OEM parts on Toyota vehicles.

And what do you do if you don't have that bolt to break the rotor free??
@HowtoAutomotive
@HowtoAutomotive 5 жыл бұрын
It’s a very common bolt that any hardware store will have.Since you’re replacing the rotors you can also use a hammer and just beat them off.
