How to replace the RG35XX H Screen Part 1

random aside; not sure if this is a "this video" issue or if its just how you record and edit, but the gain on your microphone is way too high. Recommend turning that down, as youre peaking routinely. Can edit that in post with a compressor/limiter as well but its just a simple tuning of your mic.

I am playing with the input. Its a AudioPro X5, I use it set to the midway point and it still peaks, when I lower it, it doesnt pick up much sound. In Davinci Resolve I will use the normalize audio to set a baseline, and adjust individual segments. I also am having issues with echo some I record in my garage. I have a small amount of foam around the recording area, but it still echos. Getting frustrated!

@@cosmicgamingunlimited I see. Not sure what you know or dont; so I apologize if I come off as pedantic here lol. So thats a condenser microphone; perfectly fine for sitting at an isolated desk in a treated room type of situation. Condenser mics are capacitive and typically pick up MORE sound in the rooms and surroundings and are just more sensitive overall. Probably not ideal for what you're doing. Dynamic microphones are the other common type; they kind of just pick up sound right in front of the coil; i.e. you have to speak directly into it, it wont really pick up sounds around or behind it (good for echo reduction). They also benefit from being able to handle a *much* higher SPL before peaking out. That said, we live in a great time to be alive lol. Considering the mic youre currently using... I'll presume we're not looking to be spending Rodes money and you'd like to stay with a usb powered device ... so this is an easy recommendation -> MAONO PD200x. Im extremely confident swapping to a dynamic microphone will solve all of your issues. You can get them for like 50 bucks. Plenty of sound test vids here on youtube to see.

@@cosmicgamingunlimited Hope it works! Worse comes to worst... amazon has a *very* generous return policy.... you wont be out a dime if its not a solution. That maono is crazy value honestly, sounds just as good as my SM7B really. Id say, just be sure to give it an honest go. For these to work, you must speak into them directly, head on. It wont pick up your voice too well from 5 feet away. Like wise, the audio volume will likely go *down* quite a bit (this is ideal though, we arent picking up ambient noises, those gentle knocks on the table wont be picked up either) so your process will likely be different across the board. You may even need to boost post levels. Option 2 is just simply record the video as you do and then do a voice over later in a treated room with whatever mic you want haha. Either way, Im just pretty my ears are going to be correct about this, lemme know if it helps out.

Larger battery, yes. 1080p screen would have to be a 54pin connector. I don't know it using a 1080p screen would be of any benefit on a 3.5inch screen. It can output over mini hdmi to a screen if you would like to use it on a bigger screen every once and a while, but I still wouldnt play games at 1080p (heavy 3D games).

Heat up the screen with a hair dryer or heat gun. Don’t get it to hot. Just enough to melt the glue on the adhesive tape. I don’t do this part on camera because it’s loud and not good content. Once the screen is removed, you can use Goo Gone or similar glue removal. Then purchase double sided phone repair tape and tape the new screen on.

It is possible to install a bigger screen? Like taking the screen of an X12 console (7") And connecting It to this anbernic, placing everything in a custom made, 3D printed case?

You need to match the pins of the screen. I think this a 54pin layout. Then you would need to solder on different buttons and analog contact points OR set up as a comically large vertical unit. You are only limited by your skills and access to tools and parts. It would not be a simple task.

Id essentially always use this thing with headphones; given the size of the cavity, if you remove those speakers permanently, I wonder if you can get a much much bigger battery in there.

I actually edited out my input on the battery. There is space for a thicker battery as is, since I didnt have a battery to recommend, I deleted the footage. You can also remove just one speaker and select mono sound, since the RG35XX Plus is still mono, its supported in the system. These things are a modders dream. Check out etsy to see what people are doing for accessories!

Im getting my device here this week some time, so I dont have it in front of me... but from what I can tell, I REALLY think this thing is going to fit. Its the same 3.7v and its not comically huge. Part number is 116090 (theres a couple, saw an 8000mah and a 7700mah with same part; but for all intents and purposes ...). In the off chance you have the original battery "handy", I am curious about the dimensions of it. This behemoth battery is 90mm (3.5") x 60mm (2.36"). If it werent so thick, it would fit *very* comfortably in a typical cell phone quite easily. The "problem" is its 10.5mm (.41") thick. With a device *this* cheap, Im quite ok opening up the back plate to fit it so im not really worried about that part too much. The idea of having a battery that lasts "days" instead of "hours" is a novel proposition lol.

I am currently waiting on receiving this device; comes in a day or few here this week, so I cant actually play around with it. I currently have a 10,000mah battery from a different project I gave up on. Same 3.7v, just ... much larger capacity lol. From what I can tell from visual clues, I REALLY feel like it will fit. Its 90mm x 60mm x 10mm; if it werent so thick it would fit super easily within any modern cellphone, but I think theres room for that as well from what Im seeing. Would be pretty cool to have a battery that lasted "days" instead of "hours". If you have the device handy for some reason, id love to know if you think it would work out the way im hoping it will lol.

As expected the 10k battery is just way too thick, but luckily this device is super cheap and i dont mind doing surgery here lol. I think you could easily bump up to a 5k mah battery without any surgery though.

I didn’t know that at the time. I had just did a search for RG35XX H on AliExpress. This screen came up as the one from that seller. Oh well, got the screen correct screen in and made another video.
