This video goes over how to replace a throttle position sensor on a 2008 GMC Yukon with a 5.3 motor. This should be the same process for any (3rd Generation) 2007-2014 GMC Yukon with a 5.3. When you get a PO122 code like we had, it means that the throttle position sensor has a low circuit input and the voltage is below the sensor's anticipated range. A throttle positioning sensor is activated when the vehicle's accelerator is pushed. The throttle position sensor is then used to measure how to open the throttle valve, and therefore controlling the correct amount of air flow going into the engine intake manifold. Signs of a bad throttle positioning sensor would be a check engine light, idle surges, stalling for no reason, hesitation while accelerating etc.
