Thank you for making a very concise instructional video showing how much work and time changing a timing belt, water pump, and thermostat on a 2012 Subaru Outback takes. Your narrator has a very pleasing voice, which didn’t make me want to stop watching, and he didn’t have a lot of hums or extra unnecessary words. I now wish I had taken auto shop in high school 45 years ago.

Best DIY video I may have seen. Made the whole process so much easier. Aside from me stripping out one of the water pump bolts 🤦♂️

Piece of cake! Thnks for showing looks like the access point is being blocked more for these last models.

At first, I left the radiator in place, as it's not "necessary" to remove it. However, when I found that all of the t-belt cover bolts on the lower side were rusted to shiit and some had to be tapped out, I decided to take out the radiator just for more room, which I then needed to accomplish fitment of the new t-belt, which was quite difficult to do, took me more than a few hours to figure out how to get it on without stretching or damaging it.

1st, fantastic instructional. B, It amazes me how many techs don't put a piece of cardboard over radiators and condensers.

When I remover the Crank shaft sprocket, not pulley, I broke the some teeth off of that gold colored thing behind the sprocket, What do those teeth do and does it matter if they are there?
