I LIKE TO WATCH VEHICLE REPAIRS SO I AM INFORMED OF WHATS BEING DONE AND HAS TO BE DONE AND HOW TO RECOGNIZE ISSUES SO IM NOT SCAMMED OR FOOLED BY MECHANICS WHO THINK FEMALES ARE UNINFORMED OR NOT AWARE OR EDUCATED AS I'M ONE OF THE DIFFERENT ONES UNLIKE THE REST MUCH LOVE AND BLESSINGS OF HEALTH WELL BEING HAPPINESS TO YOU AND YOUR TEAM..

Is this for both the 2.4l and 3.6l engine? I always thought the 3.6 had a timing chain

How would you go about resetting timing if I forgot to set timing before removing the belt?

Very good job making the video.

In reference to the crank and cam positions - are there recessions behind the pulleys for pins to hold the three pulleys. I know when doing most water-cooled Volkswagens, use crank and cam pins to hold them in place.

Very informative and helpful. RE (nod to Ray) to follow. What might have been more helpful would have been some commentary on the labor which was edited out - at least half an hour's worth of work. In between the old and new belts, there was the replacement of the water pump w/ integral pulley and, as well, the tensioner pulley. It was obvious that a new tensioner was installed. When it was necessary to reposition the new belt, it must have also been necessary to completely remove the new tensioner in order to compress the hydraulic pin to where the retainer pin could be inserted again. Was that accomplished with a bench vise or a Quick Grip bar clamp? It's in the video title: "...Timing Belt ~Set~..." The "set" is a kit that comes with new (or remanufactured) replacement water pump, pulleys, and tensioner. Why not explain? Is it assumed that the average DIY owner would automatically know to replace all of that in the same job? (If the job is already labor intensive and time consuming, one might as well do it all while it is accessible.) Further, Journeys from '09 and '10 with a V6 have a 3.5L SOHC variety with timing belt that needs replaced every ~100,000 miles. Journeys from '11 thru '20 with a V6 have a 3.6L Pentastar with timing chain that needs replaced only if a problem is detected. Also, the Pentastars have external water pumps. (Both are interference engines.)

OK, I just saw that there is a separate, even longer, video for the water pump - '09 and '10.
