Hi, do you have a Honda Accord? Why can't you remove the oil pan? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Many thanks for this. I seen the cam move a little when you tightened it. Do these not need to be timed as I didn't see u lock the timing anywhere?
@easywork27 ай бұрын
Hi, the cam and pulley sit on the groove. There is a mark on the pulley and it must sit with the mark on the chain. This also applies to the crankshaft and the oil pump shaft. When replacing, it is necessary that the mark sits with the marking on the pulleys. Thanks for the comment.🙂

Hey i have a question again. How did you loosen the oilpump pulley bolt? Is there something to arretate? And is there by any chance a guide for this replacement? Because iam also looking for the tourqe values. And is it necessary to put the engine in tdc before removing the old chain? Sorry for asking so much. I really do appreciate your help it is my first chain replacement on a honda diesel and it is much different than on the BMWs i usually work on.

Hello, I loosened the oil pump pulley with an impact wrench and tightened it anyway because I didn't want to block it. But the official procedure does not recommend loosening any pulley with an impact wrench. Torques can be found in the official manual. Since I was creating a manual for the master's garage, I did not write snapshots. Yes, before replacing the timing belt, the engine must be set up as you saw in the video. There are "color" marks on the chains and there are marks on the pulley. Everything can be seen on the video, see the other parts. The replacement is simple. With BMW it is much more complicated.

@@easywork2Thank you so much for replying. So it this bolt came out without arretating anything by using the impact wrench? I couldnt find the official manual, do you have a link by any chance? Im sorry for bothering you with my questions. Many thanks
@easywork2Ай бұрын
@@HG.Emmanuel I don't have the link, but it can be found on the Internet. Officially, a punching pin with a diameter of 8 mm should be inserted there. You can find it under this code PPC110LA. The screw m10x1.25 should be tightened to 83Nm.

Hey, thanks for the video! Is there a window or hole on the engine somewhere to check how loose the chain is without opening up the whole engine?
@easywork210 ай бұрын
yes of course. You can watch it in part 2 I am attaching a link to the video and the time 26:30 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGKrkpKFbaxnp7M Thank you for your comment.

Great well filmed video! However the music is very unpleasent. I think people would rather love hearing wrenching sounds haha. Thankyou

Sounds from a fast video would not be good. It would be very quiet. But feel free to let more people express themselves and we will change in the future. Thanks for the comment :)

I have a question: How long should the tensioner push in normally? Like, how many millimeters or centimeters is okay when looking at it from the small tensioner cover? Or how to know if the chain is stretched by looking at the tensioner?
@easywork25 ай бұрын
That's hard to explain. Mostly you can hear it. It rattles under the cylinder head cover where the chain is. Impaired starting (shutdown) may also occur. It's not always the fault of the chain. It can be just the tensioner. It mostly happens on CRV 2.2ctdi. When disassembling, I recommend replacing everything as in the video. 🙂

It's a pity that you didn't show a comparison of the old timing kit with the new one. What was the condition of the chains and the extension of the tensioners.
@easywork211 ай бұрын
The extension of the tensioners should be visible on the video The chain was streched minimally

Hello, there is no need to mark anything. The pulley cannot be put in reverse.

What oil did you use? very clean engine. Also, what brand of timing kit did you buy?
@easywork211 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. The car runs on Mobil Super 3000 5W-30 oil all the time, without a dpf filter. Oil change every 15,000 km. I used the complete set of HEPU brand 21-0529

@@easywork2I'm really surprised at the cleanliness of your engine. My mileage is lower, but despite using Archoil 2820 flushes and frequent oil changes, it is not that clean. The previous owner did not take care of the engine like I did and there is visible sediment. Is there any way I can contact you by email? I have a few questions. As for the timing kit, most people recommend the original Honda one, but it is expensive. How is the quality of this Hepu timing belt? I am considering replacing the timing belt at home and I wanted to buy the HBK RK700 timing belt, but I am concerned about its quality.

@@easywork2In addition, I had a DPF, but with a mileage of 295,000 km, I removed it physically and turned it off in the program, as well as EGR.

@@Skurwensyn_z_Rivii The original is a big investment for such an old car. Hepu has 40,000 km in the car and still no problem. The ideal contact is through comments, which can also help other people. See other videos, I have many videos on the channel about 8th gen.
