How To Replace Troy Bilt Weed Wacker Line Replacing Weed Eater Wire Instructions

Guys, I've done this several times and have it down to a quick science now, so I made this video to share all the shortcuts I've learned with you so that you don't have to waste time finding them out on your own.

As a woman who has done her lawn for years. I have usually had someone else do my weed whacking but I decided to learn how to do that also myself. I want to thank you and your wife both for taking the time to be kind and speaking slowly and explaining everything exactly how I prefer learning videos to be when it comes to tools, lawn tools, saws whatever it maybe I definitely prefer that whomever may be talkin and videoing takes the time to explain it exactly how it should be done. Had called Troy-Bilt factory and they were unable to help me. This video helped me restring the string trimmer. Troy-Bilt needs to go back to the drawing board on these trimmer heads or provide a better description in the owner's manual. I regret purchasing this unit.

Thank you so much, the last time I did this I rapped each spool separately by hand. Line kept popping out, took me an hour and a half. The line installation demo is good, but I must correct the gas and oil point. The oil is for lubing the crankcase, just like a mower. The gas is to combust the engine. Of course. There is no mixture of gas and oil on this unit.

Wonderful video. I personally do not own a Troy Bilt I own A 2cycle 25cc craftsman ( don"t recall the exact model,) but see that the spool unit is quit similar in design. I am not sure if these companies use, buy or build similar parts in there manufacturing or not. The only difference with this craftsman, is that you divide the line in half. about six feet each, and feed each of the two separate lines about 3 inches in each of the holes then twist it up.The Ryobi Models, and probably most other "two line "style weed trimmers seem to load the way your troy bilt loads the line in. I enjoy weed trimmers a lot , so thank you so much for your video! Take good care!

I had acquired a used 4-Cycle Weed Eater with no manual. Although the string head illustrated in this video is different than mine the most important take away from here is this: After threading the line through the head into equal lengths, the head is turned COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to spool the line. All other videos say clockwise. This makes a huge difference! Thanks for the awesome video.......

I just got one of these weed eaters from a person for free, because he thought the carb was messed up . it turned out there was nothing wrong with it . I just read the directions on the side of the machine and started right up ,funny how that works. I'm new to 4 cycle weed eaters .I'm glad that I found your video ,it helped alot . Once you figure this new trick on these new weed eater heads you will feel stupid but I've been using trimmers since I was a young boy and when I learned this about the new heads I felt ashamed lol but it's a great new gadget and saves a ton of time so don't feel stupid after learning this.
