My KTM had a leak at the spokes! Three KTM dealerships in less than 1.5 hour drive RADIUS EACH said they could not help me resolve my leaking wheel/bands. Your video right here GOT ME THERE! Your part for the wheel were less too. Thank you Rocky Mtn for having competitively price parts and videos like these! My wheel now holds air! For those wondering the same, I used a light spritz of regular WD-40 to lubricant the rubber. It dries quickly and it is not goopey. Some will say it will harm the rubber...over time. It may. However, my rubber gasket only lasted me 1.5 years from new off the showroom floor. Based on that, i am not worried if the gasket breaks down over the next 1-2 years. On the other hand HOWEVER, I mount my own tires on street, and my dualsport and adv bikes....i use good ole WD40 for bead lube just the same for years now - tip learned from Bret Tkacs. No undesired effects on my tires either. "Pro tip" - the tool i used to aid insertion of the rubber gasket in this video was a SHARPIE...pen.. The rear in is non-marring, so it will not damaged the surface of the rim there, and when you slip, you do not injur yourself as badly. I found the sharpie pen to work much easier, faster than the tools used in this video. The last few inches were bit difficult to depress because of a bit of air trapped under the rubber; burp it.

Super helpful, just swapped tyre on a 1300mile 790R and it had a tube in the front, low and behold it won’t hold air so I need a new band!

Will this work on the Ibex 800T?

This will not work on the Ibex 800t wheels, as they come in a different size.
