Thanks for this! Made the repair on my Viking VGIC-305 go smoothly and with confidence. A couple of comments: my unit appears identical to this one except for the model name but I did not need to remove the center panel (at 4:27) to do the job. Also, the last third of video has music so loud it drowns out the voice over. Fortunately the repair is done by that point anyway so it really doesn’t interfere with anything. I think you could edit it out without any loss. And lastly, I have a question: has anyone actually cooked food in that oven? I mean I feel like a total slob after seeing that thing compared to mine! I’m not the original owner but I cannot believe it looked any cleaner when it was brand new. Hats off to the owners if they can put food on the table and keep their Viking looking like that! I wish I knew their secret. Thanks again for posting this - saved me time & stress.

Thank you very kindly for making this video. Your patient explanation of the many steps gives me a clear path to follow in replacing our bake/broil thermostat. Our Viking has the sealed burners design which has the copper wire exiting the space under burners through a hole in the back wall and entering the oven through another hole also in

I see way too many appliance guys using drills to install 1/4" long screws and it makes no sense. It takes like 5 turns and almost no time at all to use a screwdriver, and it's almost impossible to strip the head or scratch the metal surfaces. Stop using power tools on tiny screws, and especially the ones that attach facade and cover plates that are external and always visible on the appliance. Otherwise, good vid and thanks for posting because it is useful content

@@mastermetalshredder you are right , unfortunately everyone is used to easy things and almost all techs are using power tool including me 😅 but I m always extra carful when doing it .

@@hameedwafaAFG You are obviously very good at your job and know what you are doing. But still the screwdriver is the far superior tool, because even if you've never stripped a screw or scratched a panel face with your drill, you eventually will and it's just a matter of time. Novices or DIY'ers especially shouldn't have a drill, or god forbid an impact driver near a nice Viking or Wolf unit! Please keep up the content, your channel is really good and helpful. I subscribed after watching just one video
