First and foremost: great video 👍 I used this as a reference as it’s the only one on youtube showing how to do this on a 2006-2010 dodge charger /300…. Did this on an 06 charger 3.5, same engine as shown in the video and I was ecstatic😛! Couple of things for anyone else doing this job…. No need to remove the gas line or need a “gas removal line tool”….leave the silver oval gas line alone and just remove the plugs and clips and everything else as shown in video and just lift it up and out of the way… You’ll have access to lower manifold easily… also, 1 bolt is shorter then all the others that wasn’t shown in the video so as I too it all apart, they all appear to look the same and size, but 1 is shorter then the rest so take note. Also. Use parts/carb/intake/throttle body clean and clean tf out of the manifold!!! Spray continuously inside it and everywhere and let it drain. I used 4 cans of it and until it was clean… def took me 6-8 hours to do! But this is the only video on the WEB, showing how it’s done!!!! And if I need parts 1A Auto is the place where I get them!

According to the manual, prior to removing the upper intake manifold, it states to "Relieve the fuel system pressure (see Chapter X)" and "Disconnect the negative battery cable". Is that something you did before the video or are those pre-requisite steps not necessary unless one intends to perform more in-depth (or invasive) maintenance beyond simply "removing the upper intake manifold"?

+King Conchobar You should not have to relieve the fuel pressure on this particular model, but disconnecting the negative battery cable is not a bad idea just for peace of mind! 1aauto.com

Got everything replaced new, can’t get the egr tube to line up or stay in place on manifold although everything else lines up fine .

Can you clean out the upper manifold with a carb cleaner or does the whole manifold need to be replaced if its filled with alot of carbon?

On the intake manifold where the power brake booster vacuum line plugs in, there is a smaller vacuum port right next to it. Where does this smaller port lead to? My vacuum line is broken off there and about 3 inches sticking out. I don't know where it goes.

Do you have to replace the intake manifold gasket every time you remove the intake manifold, for example I’m just trying to check my spark plugs, should I have a replacement gasket ready and what if I have to take it apart again a little later.

I had a problem with the transmission dipstick tube getting in the way. There's a bar mounted behind where the three strut nuts are that I ended up having to take off to get the manifold off. There's 2 13mm bolts on each side and you need to pop some trim off of it.

Also, make sure the egr tube is all the way on or your car will run lile shit.
