Been having the low fluid warning problem on our 2019 Altima; the same model/year you referred to. Heard that power rinsing with water, then treating with mouthwash or alcohol provides a good chance of resolving the issue. No mechanics have been anywhere near the sensor connector or related wiring for years, so my guess is it's the actual internal sensor. Also, after banging on the fluid tank and jiggling the connector a bit made the light go away each time. So may try gaining access to the senor connector as well. Gonna try these fixes first. Your video was very helpful in determining that instead of being an open/closed switch the sensor basically measures resistance through the washer fluid which would explain the cleaning fluid fix. Thanks!

Let me know how that works out. Yes, the Nissans have problems with these washer fluid sensors. I see them all the time on the Altimas and Armadas.

I guess good descriptions but what's the point of a video that talks about something in retrospect.

Question: Can A Mechanic Mess Up Your Car's Windshield Wiper Sensor...When Your Car Is Up In The Air? I Think That's What Happened To Me Today. Before I Took My Car To The Mechanic...No Sensor Indicator Light Was On. When I Left From The Firestone...There Was The Windshield Indicator Light Was On. Mechanic Lied About Rotating My Tires...Guess Too Busy Messing Up My Car To Generate More Money For His Boss. 😡

For this case I would say no. Now I'm not saying that accidents dont happen and mechanics damage sensor or anything. It does happen. My mom took her car to a shop to replace a tire. After the replacement the tire sensor came on. They had snapped the tpms sensor. Of course they said that's how it was. The old tire had the sensor rolling around so when they put the new one they just threw that tpms sensor inside the tire so it can roll around. 😑. Like yeah okay. What I'm saying on my situation is that it was related. Your case it was just bad timing. Unless they messed with the actual washer system.
