Another tip.................... I always put a roll of paper towel on the windshield when changing wipers because if you accidentally hit the wiper arm and it hits the windshield you can crack your window.

Windshield wiper tutorials are a strange thing - you'd think it might be pretty straightforward, but there are so many variations that lots of people will leave dislikes on tutorial videos simply because (I imagine) they realized some tutorial didn't have exactly what they were using. If you put the adapter on the blade first, then slide into the J channel, it's way easier than what you were doing. (In your case, all you had to do was slide it into the J channel. The adapter you needed was already on the blade. The instructions are VERY helpful if you're not using the pre-installed adapter.)

NEVER leave the metal naked wiper to stand up unattended ! it takes the slightest breeze for it to retract and its enough force to crack your windshield ! i recommend putting a micro fibre towel down on point of contact just incase it were to close quickly.

Daily Driver thanks for reply bud. Mine were different to point I just went into auto parts store and they got it done for me but even that was a struggle for them as well. I’ll try not to get those wiper blades again but they are common for Toyota supposedly

It seems to me the ones you took off are simpler than the ones you are putting on. However I have the simple tab type on my car which I can't seem to remove, which is why I am watching videos. I can flip up the tab but the hook just doesn't come out that easy.

Depending on the vehicle you have taking the wipers off and putting the new wipers on are the biggest pain in the rear. I know the wiper blades you are speaking of and having done them many times they are not that difficult, however, with the proper leverage and pulling them the right way you can remove them and or install them quite easily.

Yeah, the instruction just isn't that obvious. Hey, it's actually easier than that if you lineup the wiper and that H-adapter (the part you squeezed into the wiper arm). At 2:02 of the video when you first made contact between the two parts...your wiper blade looks like its an 1/2 inch too low. From the side of the wiper blade you see 3 holes. The one in the middle is where the circular stubs are inside the wiper. On the H-adapter, there is 2 holes and a slot in between the 2 holes. The slot is where you want to lineup with the middle hole in the wiper where the stubs are. Hold the wiper parallel to the H-adapter as you have shown in 2:02 and press them together until you hear a snap. No funny angles when trying to push them together. Fyi, notice the 2 holes on the wiper lines up with the two holes on the H-adapter. Hint: before installing the wipers...one can practice snapping the H-adapter on and pulling it off the wipers. Oh, you might want to pull-off the plastic protector after the installation.

I have a Honda Accord with an offset adapter, I can’t even tell if I have all the pieces required. Out of the four sets I bought, only ONE wiper had directions. These are a joke.
