whats the symptoms having a minimal leak? does it affect the sound of the transmission?

Dealing with this issue now , replaced it more times than I should have. Question: should the seal sit flush or does it sit inside of the housing ? Feel like I’m doing something wrong

The edges of the seal should be flush

Is it the same on the axle going to the rear also? got a leak on that and the passengerr side one..😭

Not sure, I haven’t had to replace the rear yet 😅

how did you get the center rod out?

I used a slide hammer

@@luisruizz_ Thanks for that might have the same issue will check tomorrow, also i think it's called an output shaft.

@@daniel1112417 hey if you are still working on it, it is call a stub shaft and you can screw an m8x1.25 bolt in the end and pop it out with slide hammer

Yeah those seals are no joke! I ruined the first one and was sweating bullets on the second one.. thankfully it only took me two seals 😅
