Dude, I'm 13 and hope to be a future mechanic. I recently bought a 2011 daytona cagllari MT-A1 pocket bike and ive run a couple diagnostics and determined that my issue is the carburetor. i intend to dissasemble it and clean it (i am too broke to afford a new carb) this is super helpful because i barely know how to do this. Your tutorial is really helpful, and i will use it for reference. I truly, truly thank you.

@@JeremysCardboardCrafts Absolutely and I love to see the next generation getting started. I will give you a secret, the shut off valve is a problem. I pull it apart, be careful of the tiny oring underneath. I Pull the guts out, the rubber piece, fill with epoxy and drill a hole through it after it dries. Reinstall the lever for looks and the oring underneath. Add a inline shutoff valve. Cheap on Amazon.

@@bdrgarage7039 is there any way to remove the carb w/o disassembling the fuel tap? I have literally no income and have like ¢62
@JeremysCardboardCrafts5 ай бұрын
@@bdrgarage7039 could I in theory, just disconnect the fuel line and throttle cable, unbolt it from the engine, remove the bowl, clean out the jet, then do everything in reverse.
@bdrgarage70395 ай бұрын
@@JeremysCardboardCrafts Sure can, I have a hard time getting my hands and tools in there but it can be done. After the bowl cleaning check the path from the shut off valve to the bowl. Use a carb cleaning nylon brush. Or carefully a paper clip in a pinch

The spring holds it in with the cable inside of the spring. Let me know, maybe I can make a quick short for you.

Hi got a problem with my pocket bike. It turned on and then after like 10mins of using. The engine shut off. I just change my carb and coil spark
@bdrgarage70394 жыл бұрын
Hello, it is a two stroke correct? And if so did you use gas oil mix? If you did and all is good there, take the spark plug out and make sure it has sparking. One of my other videos shows you how, then spray some silicone or some flammable spray in the cylinder put the spark plug back and see if it'll fire. That's a good start

@@bdrgarage7039 yes sir. I mix my gas with oil 2t. It start easily but after 10 mins it will die.

Maybe sir the mixture of oil and gas?
@bdrgarage70394 жыл бұрын
@@Pacsa mixture is typically 40:1, but check your spark plug to be sure it isn't lean or rich. So starts easy, runs for 10min then dies, correct?

Only three things that a 2 stroke needs to start. Air, fuel, and spark. Check for spark like I did in a couple of my videos. If it has spark, a strong blue spark not yellow,, the give it some spray of starting fluid or I use silicone spray. If it pops off for a second, the it will run and you need to figure out how to make sure it gets proper fuel. Air is a pretty obvious and easy one of the three.

I mite put the wrong gas this a new engine it was running for like 20 mins now it won’t turn over 🤦🏿♂️
@bdrgarage70394 жыл бұрын
@@GOKU-zn5fb if it's a two stroke , like the one I have in my video, it needs oil in the gas. Most of the time the octane does not matter. But you should run premium which I always do. I go to Menards or Home Depot and buy premixed stop. The one brand is trufuel. It has oil already in it and it's 92 octane. Just have to get the right ratio. 40 to 1 is usually good for these bikes
@bdrgarage70394 жыл бұрын
@@GOKU-zn5fb Take pull start off to get to the flywheel. See if you can manually turn the engine over. If it's totally frozen your top-end is toast. You'll have to buy a piston and cylinder head from eBay or Amazon

"you've done so many of these, so it's not so hard for you".... I thought that the purpose of making videos is to show in detail how it's done.????

What else can I show you? I will be happy to show you. It is difficult with the rear wheel in place but doable. Fuel line and 2 bolts, after the top (where the cable goes in) is removed, you can put that whole piece right in the new carburetor or swap it out with the new parts, that's the hardest part.
