Hey boss nice video. I have asx from 2017. I notice when hand breake is up I hear strange noises in the back specially when I lifting the car on the jack. Maybe you know where is ptoblem anf the sound is like the creaking of springs.
@oliverthemechanic85322 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate for positive feedback back 😊 if you’re mit. same on the video you need to clean the pads and grease also that’s the first thing I gonna do 😉 if you’re is a separate pads and handbrake shoe you need to check my other video similar work 😉 and if the hand brake shoe is still ok you need to clean it with sand paper and grease all the grease points also 😉

my ASX 4WD handbrake seems loose. The centre service said need to replace the entire unit (one in each side) (caliper brake assembly). Other user i have read somewhere where he said can just service the piston. Really? Are these true?
@oliverthemechanic8532 Жыл бұрын
Sorry mate I can’t give u a good advice because it’s quite hard to troubleshoot if I can’t see it 😬 but on my experience i never replace a whole calliper assembly 😬 only the cable 😉 cheers Oliver

Whats happened if you try push this piston in back wheels not turn ? Its cost problem with handbrake?
@oliverthemechanic8532 Жыл бұрын
If you do the same procedure what i did and the end up the rear wheels wont turn there something wrong inside the brake calliper recommend to bring it to a brake shop 😉 don’t drive it tow the car or call a mobile mechanic 😉 possible cause the mechanism inside the calliper wont release 😬

i just replaced all 4 new absorbers at Mitsubishi Centre including front and rear stabilizer include bushings..but still feels like not too comfortable like hitting the potholes or uneven road, it sometimes feel like your rear tyres swing away, same as the front..is there any bushings (the lower arm or streering area or whatever)or spring coil that need to be replaced..so that the car will feel comfort, fit tight, like a new one the first we bought? ur opinion, sir?
@oliverthemechanic8532 Жыл бұрын
You buy standard shocks or a off road? You need to do a wheel alignment also if you did that kind of job

What happens if the piston is not pushed back enough?
@oliverthemechanic8532 Жыл бұрын
As long as when you putting it back the brake pads fit on the rotor your good 😉 and when you pump a couple of times and handbrake couple of times and the wheels spin your good 😉
