Just finished repotting my watermelon peperomia (first time being a plant mom) when I found your video! Quick question, is it normal for the stems to get droopy after repotting? Also, unlike what you did, i kind of disturbed the roots much more because i tried to get rid of the hard, clayish soil clinging to the roots. Will my plant turn out okay? :(

Hi kodama l do find it will get a little dropped and then perk up again in a few days after v watering. I find they have delicate roots so that's why l don't disturb them too much. Only time will tell if it will be ok as l don't know haw much the roots were disturbed. I hope that helps. ❤

I am about repot a recuse plant, most of the leaves have dropped off or damaged however I might come back as I noticed new growth in the middle of the stems. Do you recommend I cut the old stems and damage leaves?
@PlantNationMinh2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeannette I would cut half the severely damaged leaves and propagate them. Cut the old stems as they are doing nothing for the plant. Have fun repotting your plant ❤

Apparently you should only bottom water this plant to avoid root rot.

I never knew that. Thank you for the planty tip. I will try that in the future. ❤

My watermelon peperomia plant leaves curl in from both sides into the middle even with they are small. Do you know the reason for this?
@PlantNationMinh6 ай бұрын
Hi Deidrethorp, excellent question! I find they curl from persistannt dehydration so giving a good watering by bottom watering the plant and increase the humidity around it. Make sure the humidity is constant and not fluctuating. Happy Watermelon Peperomia Gardening ❤️

@PlantNationMinh How do I go about creating more humidity for the plant?
@yurmomsaccount6 ай бұрын
@@deidrethorp417 you can try to keep it in a more enclosed space where condensation doesnt evaporate and fly away. Mine benefitted from this. Its already a sad sack. But im trying my best. 😂

Need help my watermelon peperomia stems are translucent... and green I'm wondering if you have any idea what can cause this? I'm new to house plants.
@PlantNationMinh Жыл бұрын
Hi Rosalva, l have never seen a translucent stem on a watermelon Peperomia. Is it firm when you feel it? If it's firm it might be a new variety? If it's soft it could be from overwatering. Hope that helps. Happy Peperomia Gardening ❤️
