It was as you show, very easy, helped by the fact that my pipework was identical to the one you show. That saved me the cost of an expensive call-out, and a cold evening and night. Thanks bud, bought a new house and they didn't go through filling in too much detail on the home demo and didn't think to ask - then last night I vent my en suite towel rail (first world problems) before I go to bed and the pressure drops like a stone and I realise I don't know how or where the refilling loop is - so I turned everything off and left it whilst I went to sleep. Mine isn't exactly the same as this; but there was more than enough information here (after taking off and reattaching one of the knobs because it couldn't be turned because it hit the knob further back) to sort mine out. Now both my towel rails are air-free (the master bathroom one was also shockingly devoid of water).

You need the valves on radiators open ideally while youbpressurise it, then bleed radiators (whilst repressurising) as er my other video. They can work straight away. Hope that helps. 👍

Sounds like the other valve is already open and should really be closed when not in use. May be worth getting someone to take a look for you. Best of luck with it.

Of all the days to get a heating fault on my (or make that the councils) combi boiler, it happens on Christmas day. I'd used what you showed in your video in the past when an engineer showed me what to do in the case of and E119 error message and I had my heating and hot water back in seconds. I thought would be the case today, but when the heating (on timer) comes back on I've observed the heating switching on and the needle on the pressure gauge dropping rapidly. There are no leaks on the system but I suspect there must be a fault on the boiler itself now possibly the expansion tank (low pressure) or pressure release valve. After re-pressuring the system and using it for hot water there are no issues but issues only arise when I use the heating. I'm not gonna freeze to death as the weather is mild at the moment but it's an inconvenience and there are 2 more days before the council will do anything.

With some gentle persuasion it should go, but I don't want to be responsible for you snapping it! Try spraying the valve with a bit of wd40 and let it soak in a bit before trying again.
