As an introvert, I found it different to make cold requests. The lesson has taught me the framework and what to say in this scenario. Thank you for much.

Thanks for the great lessons! If you have time please explain the most natural way to pronounce (bestseller) I can’t hear the ‘t’ when people speak naturally. I was checking on youglish. Could you clarify? Thank you so much again🤩
@Speakconfidentenglish3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question, Toni. This is very perceptive! You're right that the /t/ sound nearly disappears when the word 'best' is combined with 'seller.' This is called elision in English. Elision is when the final sound (or phoneme) is lost, which often happens with /t/ sounds. The reason is, it's very difficult to move our mouths quickly enough and efficiently enough to produce the final /t/ in best and the initial /s/ in seller.

It is so beneficial and you have broken it up in an effective way to help us get it. Many thanks. but the problem with me is that, my level in English is not advanced and phrasal verbs constitute a big problem to me, so, if you please, tell me the meaning of " I have been working my way through" I don't know if work my way has a definite meaning without the word through or the whole sentence together? and I'm confused between the exact meaning of " blind date" and cold request"?
@Speakconfidentenglish3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the questions. To work one's way through something means to be continually engaged in some task. We often use this when the task is long-term and, likely, tedious. A cold call is an unsolicited request, visit, or phone call made by someone trying to sell goods or services or to create a business opportunity. A blind date is when two individuals who have never met are set up on a romantic date.

Hello Annamarie, I hope this finds you well. I wanted to ask you please about something. I noticed that I have a problem understanding when someone is describing something unfamiliar or even sometimes when it is familiar. For example when someone is trying to describe a football game to me or what happened in a football game. I find it a little hard to follow specifically if they use an unfamiliar word to me. I feel embarrassed and bad too. Any tips for this ? Thank you by the way I am in love with you channel and videos. Your channel is so unique and the topics are very informative and useful. Thank you so much.
