no internet needed. u just have to create an exemption on windows virus or it will erase it because it sees it as a virus but it's not.

how do you know what chip to read? I have a 2014 hyundia sonata module number 95910-3q150 with eeprom chip 95256 but there are a few chips that look like they could be it.

the program specifies the chip and I read the numbers on top with a microscope. or use your phone to zoom in

it depends on the car like mercedes when they get in an accident the fuse in the front of the hoods pops to avoid electrical shorts that can cause a fire.

So how it works is Program A reads crash data/Program B makes corrects crash data/ and program A writes the corrected data into the module?

yea the same program makes everything read first save the file and then select the saved file to be corrected and the program will clear it and save it and then go back and select the cleared file and then write it back to the module

Is this why my ford ficus will not crank after i hit an snimal that was in the road. The car cut iff snd messages are coning up that say engine starting fault or somrthing like that. Hill assist not available and no key detected. Forscan will not comnect to vehicle rither

I don't think so. your problem might be a short to the CAN communication lines in your car probably when u hit the animal it broke cables and that's causing your problems

i am afraid you can not that scanner is only for obd2 bidirectional controls only. you need an actual programmer that can read eeproms
