I was trying to do this on a MacBook that was given to me. When I click on options, it’s asking for my password and/or recovery key. I don’t have either of those. Is there anything I can do, or is it just a brick at this point?

My installation time keeps increasing and decreasing, but the overall time has gone up. It started with 3hrs 13mins, and it’s up at 4hrs 17mins now. Is this normal? In real time it has been around 30 minutes

Okay so anyone facing a similar issue, the said estimated time does not reflect what it actually is, after an hour it went from “4 hours” to “about a minute”. Internet speed does matter but key is to just keep patience and it will get through it quicker than expected.
