Is there a way to reset the indicator telling me about a right tail light issue? The tail light still flashes but it's flashing faster than it used to. I'm not sure why but the damn indicator blinking the ENTIRE time I drive has drove me crazy lately.

Hey man, the EPC light that comes on the cluster display on your dash, Yours is the only tutorial I’ve seen where the light comes on when key is turned (no ignition) mine does the same. 0 fault codes on my reader, 0 issues with anything EPC related as it’s a well looked after car. Just wanted to check, should it come up / on with the first turn in the ignition (like yours did) - mine also disappears when turned over/ started. Would be a big help, I’ve never had an Audi A4 B6 before so not sure what should / shouldn’t happen

This is normal for any Petrol/Benzin B7, the diesel versions don’t have the EPC light maybe that’s why you didn’t see it everywhere

Thanks for the video. My service indicator is just dashes, like the one here in the video. I just bought the car and have NOT reset it. I've been driving it over 100 miles and it's still just dashes. How do I get the date/mileage for the next service to display? Thanks.

It sounds like they have reset the service indicator before you bought the car? Either that or it was serviced recently? The onboard system calculates the miles/time to next service based upon your driving style, which it learns. So when it is first reset you just get the dashes whilst it is learning (this can take a little while too, sometimes a good few weeks!) and after that it will display the numbers. Great videos! thank you! what do you think about running 5w/30 in the b6/b7 s4? I've heard from a technician at Audi that they actually use this weight oil, even though they will tell you 5w/40 was used. I haven't checked the forums, but I heard there was a bulletin posted by Audi recommending 5w/30. Also, I believe it was the buyer's guide video that promised a complete engine removal video of the b6/b7 s4. is that coming soon? thank you!

Hey there! We're planning a correct oil for B6/B7 S4 video, but yes 5w/30 is correct. Castrol Edge is factory spec choice. With regards to the engine removal video for the S4 - YES! It's done, edited, processed and uploaded. It's 2.5 hours long (!!!) and so obviously a video we have to charge for as ever-so-slightly specialist in nature!! lol Even so, a video that can save you $2,000-$3,000 must still offer good value! What does the #2 represent that's at the top right hand portion of the screen above you would see for example how many miles you have until you run out of gas? The same area where you can set it to tell you several other things such as miles per gallon and things of this nature? It says 2 in white with a red background but I can't for the life figure out what exactly it represents?

I must be missing something or I'm stupid! The message before and after looked the same to me. How do you set the mileage to service interval?

You have on your display showing the number of miles/days to next service instead of it being blank, but that does not affect the reset process. You cannot set the mileage to service interval, this process just resets it to whatever settings for servicing are stored on the system. If you want to adjust the mileage/time between them you'll need something like VCDS which can switch between long life and standard servicing shcedules and give you much more control. This process is literally just to reset.

All these vids are the same and it does reset but where is the count down?...Last service i had it gave me a count down in miles amd days....can anyone help?

The countdown does not appear straight away as it runs calculations based upon your driving style after the reset is completed. So you have to wait a while and drive the car, and it will eventually appear. @@brookyf1 Yes, that's completely normal. It will likely take a good few weeks. Don't panic, the dashes indicate that it has been reset successfully and it is calculating the figures based on your driving style. It will appear!! :-)

Hey there! You do not put in a new service, you simply reset it. Do the same, press the wrench, turn the key and when the dash gets on and you get the service message press the 0,0. The message that appears on this video isn't the same on some dashes, mines only Appear service but when you press the 0,0 it changed to the counter and gets reset
