Thanks for the video on the reset. My 2013 Jetta TDI is driven less than 10,000 miles a year, but the service light needs reset once a year. For that reason, I believe that it's an either-or indicator.

Just a little extra bit, the button on the left will also scroll through to show what the service reminder mileage is at. You have to press it 3-4 times as it will go through the clock, then mileage (can change from miles to kilometers) then the service monitor will show .

This didn't work for my 2013 Jetta SE. Tried it like 20 times and nothing. Then I tried it holding down the brake pedal and it worked the very first time...idk if it was chance or what but if this isn't working for you it can't hurt to hold the brake. Worked for me!

😂I wouldn’t have asked if that were the case. I just had it changed a month ago… my owner manual says the flashing wrench means a transmission or engine thing. It’s never said oil change in the past 7 years of owning it, only service that’s why it’s a little odd.
