I can play Sims 2 again with no glitches or crashes. My Toshiba is now just any old PC game with a disc I can install, player. The factory reset worked.

​@@WaedAltarawneh-n4d yes it did! If you have a Win 7 PC, when you first turn the PC on, does it go to a sign - in screen, for password & maybe username? I think if you hold down the Shift key, then click the power option icon, select Restart, it should go to the menu where you can choose to reset, refresh, or just continue starting the PC.

Doesn't work for my old one. Don't know the model, but it runs Windows XP. Pushing the Shift key before Restart merely changes the Standby option to Hibernate. Restarts normally, even with Shift held down.

2023, and not work with a Toshiba2007 with Windows Vista business nor did it work for a Toshiba2009 with Windows 7 professional. I'll keep looking for a way to factory reset these.
