I admire you for your strength and faith. I was surprised to see this 7 year old video show up in my recommended videos. At first, I was like huh ???? He did a video on recovering a computer? Then I remembered that I had an old Toshiba laptop that had basically become non-functional many years ago. I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a try. Low and behold, it worked !!! Remove the CMOS battery and connect the electrodes on the base with a screwdriver for twenty seconds, then return the hard disk and the rest of the pieces to their place and turn on the device.

If you do a factory reset your computer will be wiped clean of all files and it will be put back to the way it was when you bought it. So if you do this, you will need to save all of your files on an external hard drive and you'll need to make sure that are able to reinstall your programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Skype, etc.)

This means your recovery partition is missing there is no way to recover it unless you made recovery CD. So you have to do a fresh install!

whilst comps off ...holding 0 (zero) on the top row not the number pad then pressing the power button just once sent mine into a limited screen with a windows 7 option and a memory check ........ if you click f8 now it goes into another hidden screen with the top option of repairing device ...after selecting this i found factory reset restore to a as new out of the box state right at the bottom of all these options

Sapphire Tabor That really sucks. Did the pop ups start happening again after you had transferred all your files back onto your laptop? Because sometimes the virus can jump onto a flash drive or external drive only to hop back onto your computer once you've transferred everything back. I know this because it happened to me once. I had to do another factory restart (which was really annoying), but then I did a virus scan on my flash drives before putting the files back on. Sure enough, my virus program found a virus on the flash drive and got rid of it. After everything was clear I was able to put everything back on with no issues.

+Mac if you press f8 multiple times until the advanced settings comes on, then look for directory reset or somthing like that, it works as well. some of the new updates for Windows 7 don't do the beep anymore like they used to, but directory reset right above the restart at an earlier point might work for you

No I never did it. I am too lazy. I have not really had an issues with the blue screen no more. I notice it happens when I have too many windows open, and playing a video.. I might do it if I keep having more issues with the blue screen, it rarely pops up now.
