I've a doubt! I want to resize a quite big (1080x1920) image to 640x640, but I'm not sure if I should just crop what I want in the image (since I just want to crop my face) in 640x640 (as you did at the start) or if I should crop the image (selecting what I want) and, just then, resize it to 640x640 via Image > Image Size etc? I mean, which one has better quality? Since quality is my point, what would you recommend?
@aaronrutten9 жыл бұрын
Same quality as long as you are reducing and not enlarging. Go with whatever is easier for you. Cropping is probably faster.

Hey, many thanks for the video. What software do you use to get the blue-background text up on screen - keystrokes & common image sizes? Thanks.
@aaronrutten8 жыл бұрын
That's part of the video editing software I used called Camtasia Studio.

I have Photoshop C6 and I don't seem to have the same kind of panels as you do when you do your image re-sizing. So I am not sure what to do.
@aaronrutten8 жыл бұрын
+mikeyjaynes92 Shouldn't be that different in CS6.

+Aaron Rutten well I don't have the preview part that you have and I have a few extra settings. so when you say to do this to this I am just like "But... I don't have that "

Great video! Just a quick comment about the Resolution. 300 PPI is the industry standard resolution for print, but if you're resizing for the web, the Resolution value is meaningless. Resolution controls the number of pixels that will print per inch, with the keyword being "print". It has no effect on the web, or on display devices in general. "72 PPI for the web" is just an unfortunately popular myth.

+Coco_Puffs_Rule Never mind, I think I got it. I found the option "Show Transform Controls" at the top while the move tool was selected. I'd still like to know if this is right.
