Why aren't most tutorial videos like this? Straight to the point and helpful. I don't have to listen to an hour just to get the 1:31 seconds I needed. Thanks again. Super helpful.

Thank you! Got an A1 recently and haven't had anything to go off of. This was super helpful, went from not knowing how to scale to being excited for my filament coming in so I can scale up some prints. Thanks so much!

Can you do a video on how to scale a project that's on multiple build plates so it fits together after you scale it?

That's already done. Check out my Easy way to print large models video! If you haven't already I would like to invite you to subscribe. So you don't miss out on any new tutorials! I have some awesome stuff coming up soon.

Just a quicky, is there a way to mask a specific area of the model and scale the rest. Eg. I downloaded a christmas tag decoration. when I rescaled it, it also rescaled the tag hole, reducing it to 1.5 mm from 3 mm. I was able to use it but I think masking from resize would be a good feature, would have left the hole correct.

I have a question and have tried multiple forums but nobody has an answer. I want to purchase a model that is too large for the A1 mini plate. But thing is, I want to scale it down to 1:6 scale for doll size. Will Bambu studio even let me import the model in the first place, or will it block me or give me an error message because the model is too big? I cannot scale without importing first. I don’t want to pay for a model that I won’t be able to use.

How do I change diameters of a cylinder like outside is 62mm and how do I mache the inside 48mm
@bambamprint10 күн бұрын
I would make two cylinders. Scale 1 to 62mm, center on build plate. Take second cylinder scale to 48mm but change its type to a negative part. Center on build plate. Then use mesh boolean to cut out the inside of the first cylinder. Hope that helps. I would definitely go through all of my tutorials it will teach you everything you need to know.

Thanks for the tutorial. Is it possible to scale without increasing wall thickness? For instance, I have a simple box and I want to scale it 200%. If I perform a uniform scale then everything scales, including wall thickness. It would be nice if there is a way to scale the whole object, but keep the wall thickness the same. Alternatively, is there a way to reduce the wall sizes in Bambu Studio?
@bambamprintАй бұрын
Wall thickness is set in the settings and wont increase when scaling.

When scale up my 3D model the joints are really loose. What is the easiest way to fix this?
@bambamprintАй бұрын
I believe in my advanced settings tutorial I briefly touch on that. To be honest without knowing exactly the types of joints it is hard for me to point you to a specific setting.

How do you adjust thickness of an object without changing the size? Example: I want to print a tesseract, but want to make each leg thicker or thinner without changing the size
@bambamprint4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately you would only be able to do that if you designed the model using Mesh Boolean in Bambu Studio. You can't resize parts of a model unless they are all separate.
