How To Respawn Treasure Maps in RDO for PS4 (READ DESCRIPTION FIRST!)

Again, BEFORE starting, FIRST get into a SOLO session by going PlayStation NETWORK SETTINGS and switching the MTU from 1500 to 800, or else this trick will NOT work!
If you don't know how to do this, here is a link to a video with instructions-

*After closing the game, simply re start the game and select "Camp" from the main screen. Once you load into the session, run to the tree again and repeat the quick grab, then close game.

works on pc! thanks alot, note: dont use alt f4 when picking up the treasure map it will set you on cooldown, instead disconnect your wifi/ethernet then wait for it to kick you out, and use [HOME] and retry connection to get back into the game

damn i got maybe like 5 maps and now they just won't spawn.. i closed my game so fast each time so idk if i was to slow? but it did work for a little while but i have the feeling i have a timeout since it's always daytime and i've tried like 10 times to change sessions and it's always daytime :(

i got it to work but it’s only letting me hold up to 15 maps and getting the same ones

just tried it and the map isn't spawning my mtu is set to 800 and im in a solo lobby. i also followed all steps in the video. ik it works cuz ik ppl that done it but it isn't working for me

They may have patched it but I haven't done it in awhile to confirm. I'll let you know when I do I might try it tonight

Just close out the game and then when you load back into red dead choose camp in the online section, then repeat.

The Map Wont Spawn in after 3 days Waited since saturday

This must be because you didn’t close the game on time after your player pocketed the map. It is pretty tricky. Hopefully you figure it out though! Let me know if i can help at all

when I take the map from the tree, turn off the game, turn on the game, set camp and then go to the tree again, the map is no longer there :(

Yeah the tree was hard for me to find the first few times too. I should have shown where it was on the map. My bad for that. Hopefully you've found it by now though.

Are playing on PlayStation? Also did you make sure to switch your internet settings from 1500 to 800 MTU? I linked the directions on how to do this in the video description.

I did it.. But after I collected 19 maps.. It stopped spawning n i tired again and nothing

You must of triggered the cooldown. Try again after 72 hours. Hope this helped😃

Oh well that's good. I think what happened is because you didn't close the game right as you grabbed the map it despawned. Just have to wait 3 days and it'll work again.

Not that I know of, but I also haven't tried the glitch in a while. Ill try it next time I'm on and let you know, but I'm sure you could find the answer quicker by trying to search for it online.

& so you can either do stuff without getting griefed etc etc

I’m not sure why but for some reason the map will only respawn in solo sessions. I guess you could describe it as a type of glitch.
