Ok. it worked before. Twice. Now its not anymore. It was about 100 hours from last map i've ever got (including lvl up map), i intentionally didn't played game besides checking spawns, no lvl up, no collecting maps, not even doing quests. So there is no way that cooldown was initiated again. No luck at all. Just no map spawn, every time empty tree. Camp in correct location, temp files deleted, solo lobby, PC, any condition is good, but its just doesn't work. i have no idea what to do, because i desperately need that lake isabella map to catch up with my friends, we never play online lobby, just private. Any ideas how to do it? I tryed hoping out sessions (Esc->camp) over and over again trough whole night (22 pm-5 am in game) no luck. Its just dont spawn at all.

If you go to the blackwater police dept and while standing outside send your camp to hennigans stead and it will go straight to where you want it in thieves landing

I have succesfully done this trick, but once I cut off the internet too soon and loaded back in to see the treasure map was taken. Then after several days the treasure map wouldnt spawn at the location again despite me entering s solo lobby and spawning at a nearby camp before heading onwards to the same tree again.

Map spawns also depend on a bit of luck under normal circumstances. If at anytime you receive a map into your satchel, whether you plucked it off a tree or a treasure hunter, or even if it came from your lockbox, there will be a cooldown of 18hrs, before you can get even a chance of a treasure map spawn

If in the past 18hrs you had received a map in any manner (treasure map guy, looted from npc or chest, received from lockbox stash) you won’t receive another map spawn/loot until 18hrs later (real-time). It was never 3 days, that’s just a misconception someone came up with and everyone went with it.

Means timing was off. The moment the dialogue appears that you received map, you need to immediately disconnect. I’ve done this for all my 3 characters and they’ve all gone off well.

I used this tree as it is convenient, and doesn’t need running all over the place. Just spawn at camp and boom, it’s at the tree. However, yes, maps can spawn in many other locations, including treasure hunters.

Most people I have assisted with this was on a map cooldown, hence the maps not appearing. There’s also the RNG in a map actually appearing. What this does is to exchange your odds as it narrows down to 1 location. Once you get it, it just keeps coming.

It’s a hidden folder for sure. Just set it to visible via window settings. Temp files…… are temp files. They are not meant to be permanent and won’t affect most, if not all programs. It just so happens that R* does it this way. It doesn’t change your gameplay in anyway either.

It will work even without tinkering with the files but the conditions are as such: 1. Solo Private session is needed. 2. In the past 18hrs, you cannot have received a treasure map in whatever manner.

Any map you received, even if it’s from the lockbox to your satchel, will initiate an 18hr cooldown, before you’ll be able to receive any map. I suggest you wait it out, then try again.

At any time when you have received a map via the treasure hunter, tree, and lockbox for whatsoever reason, there will be an 18hr cooldown to when the next map will even appear. This method, once your cooldown effectively passes, seek to increase the chances that a map will spawn for you on that tree. However, using a private session will be needed, as your camp would need to be at the same location.
