I’ve been thinking about restarting my game even though I have done so much. I got the game on launch day but I regret so many things that make me want to reset. I don’t like my island layout. I don’t like my native fruit. I don’t like my native flowers. I don’t like my island name. I would restart my game in a heartbeat but I have: Saved up so much money Cleared out weeds Bought a time of nice looking clothes All of Bunny Day DIYS Upgraded Nook’s Cranny Resident Services Building Able Sisters Had K.K. Slider concert And so much more. If anyone could help me make a decision I would really appreciate it.

Indigo It’s really all up to you. If you are unhappy with the way the game is set up for you, then think about it and decide whether everything you’ve built up in the game is worth losing. The game is meant to be fun and not stressful nor make you unhappy. Do what will help you enjoy the game more

everyone who is thinking about restarting your island !!! please read this !! if you restart your island: -you'll lose all your villagers -you'll get new fruits -you'll have to pay all your loans again -you'll have to go villager hunting -you'll get to rename your island and yourself tho -you'll have to pick weeds again -you'll have to get all your 2/3/4/5 stars again -you'll have to pay for all those bridges and inclines again -you'll have to restart your critterpedia -you'll have to restart your museum -you'll have to get your builders permit again if you really want to restart your island, then do it. on the bright side tho, it's something to do if you're bored all the time. if you're busy a lot, don't do it.

This was really helpful,thank you I needed this for my mother who got the game for mothers day and at some point my brother got it.He ended up getting way ahead of her and leaving stuff around the island because he didn't have room I guess and she was pretty mad/upset about it. I felt really bad,even though it wasn't me who did it and this allowed me to give her another go at the game after restarting.

Liz. draws_ you can later in the game but it’s quite difficult and painstaking. you start of with only four options and you’re stuck with the option you pick for a while. also good luck in the game i hope you enjoy :)

Oh my god thank you so much! I couldn’t for the life of me find where my save data was for ACNH until his video. I’ve seen tutorials where you press onto the minus or plus button when you select ACNH and then you’ll be able to delete save data from there but for me it never showed up. Thankfully I found this video, thank you!

I been thinking of restarting my game even though I have sooooo many hours and got Coco and Merengue (2 of my dream villagers) but there’s so many reasons that makes me want to reset • I have pears • My airport is ORANGE • Too many buildings have been moved terribly • I am uninspired to terraform because of my island layout • I despise my island name that I made in a panic • I tried too hard to be aesthetic with my name on the island and it doesn’t seem natural • Cleared weeds • Have nooks cranny • Updated to towns hall • Has Able sisters • Had KK sliders concert • 3 star island • Getting bored But yet at the same time • Made lots of progress • Have 4 villagers that I really like (although 2 were my dream villagers and I got Coco from a Nookazon trade) • Have to start all over again • I got lots of bells • Many custom designs that I made There is more to it but I couldn’t think of any more, let me know what you think

I would say restart only if you're bored and would like to forget about that island and have a brand new island. In the early stages of a new island it feels repetitive to your old island, however the further along you get after restarting it starts to feel like a completely different experience
