So a few months ago I got Rosie at my campsite and I was super sad because she was one of my top villagers to get and my island was full. It wasn't until a couple of weeks ago I found out she actually could've replaced one of my current villagers if I hackled and played games with her long enough. It still haunts me to this day and I can only hope Rosie comes back to me.

I’m messed up about my favorite… Mitzi is not the worst, but I had her in my first OG island back on GC and love her because back in the day villagers were default kind of assholes and she was the first one to be nice to me. I have the cat odds against me and I’ve never even seen her at the 400+ nook tickets islands much less campsite. I know people are skipping her on islands all the time and the thought drives me crazy. 😔

Ever since my sister and I bought ACNH we tried to get Tangy on our island. She's absolutely my favourite villager so I searched for her every chance I got. But as months went on, our island filled up by villagers we didn't even want, so I couldn't really search for her. I eventually caved in and bought Amiibo coins from Etsy (I could choose the villagers I wanted and it would be easier to carry them around). Three days after the Amiibo coins arrived, Tangy agreed to move in. Wish I could've found her myself, but I'm just glad she's on our island now lol

I got super lucky with my first 3-4 island hopping looking for my first 3 add-on villagers(for my current island). I got Kiki, Erik, and Audie. After the tent unlock, my 2nd(or3rd) visitor was Whitney. After that I used my amiibo cards to get my top 2 favorites, Kyle and Del. My next (10th and final) villager from a Tent Visit was Rasher. Afterward my next camp villager was Louie, whom I traded out Sprocket for. (RiP) . Currently I’m waiting for some of my older villagers to move out so I can get Dobie and maybe Wolfgang or Lobo with my amiibo cards.

If we count New Leaf, the rarest villagers are Holden and Filly since they were only obtainable in Japan for a limited time, and weren't able to be brought to your town. So technically the only way you can get them now, even in Japan, is through save editing.

There’s actually one piece of information about the move-in queue, If you have friends/other players friended on animal crossing and they move a villager out, that villager they moved out went onto the top or near the top on YOUR queue. So you could use that to your advantage or a disadvantage depending on whether they moved out a good or bad villager in your opinion!

I was hoping that when I moved on to New Horizons I might get to start with some of them on my island again but I think the chance of that is very slim now lol Update: I bought New Horizons on Christmas Eve, my first two villagers were Coach and Hazel, sure didn’t expect those two to be the first 😅

Fun fact: If you don't have any open sites on your island and still go to a mystery island, you can still invite villagers, they just won't move in right away

I got Raymond in my campsite sold him, got lolly from a mystery island and Purrl. I didn't sell Lolly or Purrl, I have Flip and Fuchsia, I've also got Murphy, Poppy, Cookie, and Chrissy. Also Marina and Sherb, I used to have.. Nana, Pekoe, Pietro, Shari, Cranston, Glady, and last but not least Stitches ! Ankha turned up in my campsite the other day but I didn’t invite her because I find her creepy. I had no idea she was rare or popular 😬 The visitor queue thing is also really interesting to me because I’m a new player, I have no online play or friends, but I keep getting told I’ve been extremely lucky with my move in and campsite villagers so far. My starters were Pashmina and Hamlet (not what I would have chosen but they grew on me.) then my three who moved in automatically were Audie, Midge, and Lucha (who is one of my favorites!) My first campsite animal was Bob, followed by Sylvana, then Marlo, Tank (another one of my top 10), and lastly Ankha. I’m really crossing my fingers for Antonio or Eugene next but I don’t know many animals so I’m happy to explore 😊 Sorry if my English is bad

Got Raymond visiting my island but he did not move in although I wanted him to '-' (had to talk to him more times than usual and lost the stupid card game) I blamed it on my island being full, but then another villager moved in no problem, she just made one of my villagers (that I hated lol) move out Is there any chance he'll show up again?

I remember how crazy people went to get Raymond during the early days of New Horizons. I saw several FB Marketplace listings selling him anywhere between $5-$200 but FB removed them as they weren't physical items. Now his Amiibo card is out and is easy to get him.

If we’re talking from a standpoint where amiibo cards don’t come into play, any specific villager from a species with the most characters. So.. cats. But.. if amiibo cards do come into play, then any newest added villagers, though.. we already know who. Example, there are a lot of cats. Without amiibo cards, if you are looking for a specific one, it’s incredibly hard. This is counting any villager, without counting personalities or species. I was lucky. I found Zucker on my first mystery island, he’s pretty rare, but like you said, there are higher chances of getting a specific octopus. With amiibo cards, Raymond is the hardest cat to get. The other cats have amiibos, he doesn’t, so getting him is entirely luck based.. if you aren’t gonna buy your way out. I only have Lolly’s amiibo card. If I wanted any other cat (I want 3 more, Purrl, Kiki, and Raymond, they all look like cats i’ve had) It would be entirely luck based. I would have to rely on autofills, campsite, and mystery islands. I don’t use Nookazon to often, and I’m broke, so I can’t buy any. It’s not a super hard concept once you get a little bit experienced. But I’m still dumb so I don’t go on hunts..

I got ACNH at the height of COVID. My villagers were (and are still): Pompom, Butch, Robin, Raymond, Marshal, Bianca, Bangle, Ellie, Freya and Katt. Our entire college class was playing it during and outside of classes for months. I got Raymond while hunting with my sister and Marshal from my college friend. We even had a graduation party on there since ours was cancelled from COVID

I spent an entire year looking for Raymond, on 2 different switches. One of my islands I wanted solely pink villagers and the other one was villagers I wanted. Needless to say he appeared on my pink island hunt and I think it's funny how he's basically the only guy (besides Dom since I started with him) that lives in a town full of female pink villagers 🤣 this was before his amiibo card was released so I couldn't just buy his card. He was the only reason I kept coming back to NH and didn't drop off of it after awhile

I finally had one villager move so I could try looking for a villager I want from the list I made (currently I need 3 more and my island would be ideal in my eyes) and I bought a nook miles ticket, took the flight same day, and found JUDY of all villagers and I was overjoyed so I crossed her off my list last night!
