Hi Miguel, thank you for posting this. I did as you suggested to restore back to factory settings. Towards the end I received a pop-up white window by HP recovery manager saying the restoration is incomplete and that I should be selecting one of the following buttons. Save log, details, retry. The background is entirely black with the cursor blinking on the top left corner saying the system cannot find the drive specified. What Should I be doing? Thank you for your assistance.

when i hold f11 after restart I do see in left lower corner system recovery " disappears very fast " however when I release f11 key my comp opens with windows icon ? any suggestions ... I have tried several methods to do a master reset ( there is nothing on this comp I want to save) however each time has failed and I think I remember reading on one of the attempts its because a virus protection won't allow the reset, does that make any sense?

Done it on my old hp and it also has a faulty charger can i strip the wires and re wire the end as it's just a fault wire in the neck of the charger chord.
