How to restore QuickBooks to your laptop or desktop

I wanted to thank you for your great videos. Earlier today, I could not for the life of me find a current backup to our books. I thought it was because I was trying to clean off the laptop desktop. In panic mode I stopped, thought about my options, and immediately thought, "Go to Candus' videos and see if she has something on restoring QB." Your tone, attitude, and knowledge are re-assuring to this "old bird" when I run into trouble trying to manage our small town public library's books. Our tight budget doesn't allow us to hire out our accounting but we still must maintain good records for taxes and state reports. I agree with others, you are a Rock Star! Thank you!

OMG, Candus ... I just encountered a possible crash yesterday!!! So this video could not have come at a more fortuitous time!!! My computer guy was able to get everything back for me, but I will definitely be purchasing an external drive and be backing up going forward ... as always, YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR!!!!

Hi Candus! Watching your videos and you explain things very well! I'm having problems going from 2022 desktop to a 2021 new disk. do you have a video on that? it sounds like im doing things backwards but just trying to save $$ on the subscription end of things. and trying to retire without going broke first:)

Hi Neil, Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately you cannot go backwards. If you have a backup file previous to 2021 you can upload that to the 2021 software but not data from a 2022 backup. I have a different question altogether: I am downloading a new desktop pro 2017 version on a NEW windows 11 computer. But it's not working. The message I get is ' browser is not supported' . I am SO confused: the point of having a desktop version is to NOT be on the internet. Needless to say, I can't open the program. Any solutions? or am I stuck with having to migrate to the online version

Why can't anyone answer the question: My laptop died and quickbooks went with it. All I have is my "company.qbb" backup file. What is the process after install a fresh copy of qickbooks?

You’ll need to reinstall your QB. You can do that from your disk or log into Intuit/camps with the email address you have on file. You’ll be able to redownload the file and it will have all the details including the service key when you login. camps.intuit.com/app/selfservice/index.html#userprofile
