How to restore/ recover/ factory reset Acer Aspire Laptop. Hold ALT & F10 keys on boot.

It worked for me!!! I can't believe it! I haven't been able to get my laptop to work for almost 2 years at least. I was about to purchase a new laptop, then I came across this video. I figured I'd give it a try---what did I have to lose? Anyway, I held down the Alt & F10 keys as described, then I stepped away to grab a bite to eat. When I came back, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Windows login screen. After signing in, the desktop came up and all of my apps and files were still there! Everything was way out of date, of course, so I'm installing a lot of updates. I never thought I'd be able use that laptop again---thanks, Brandon!

FYI ... this could take anywhere from 3 hours to 7 hours . I recommend do this before bed . Just set it up and when you see 1% that’s going to take long while . Make sure your laptop is plugged in the entire time .Go to bed wake up and continue with settings . Be patient but trust me this works !! I just did it !

Turn on ur laptop normaly Find the “restart” button Hold the “shift” key and click on the restart button while still holding the “shift” key. Make sure that you’re holding the “shift” key before you click on the “restart” button. Keep holding it while the laptop is restating until you get to the troubleshoot screen. Thank me later

@@@babylisa2724 it's a matter of a few clicks, taking no more than 30 seconds, of the user's doing. The final 2 processes that the computer takes in response, to reset and restart, may have taken up to 15 minutes total.

Open your laptop/pc then go to windows, press shift, click restart while pressing the shift button. Continue pressing the shift button til the blue screen appears. Next is click troubleshoot, then follow the steps on the video above. It worked for me.

There were a couple more options after you ended. 1. Download and reinstall Windows or Reinstall from this device 2. Clean files (use this if keeping PC) or wipe all files (use this if recycling PC) I am keeping my laptop but I want it completely brand new again yet didn’t know which option to go with for what I want. It’s so slow because it’s full so I wanted it fully wiped
