Hi Jamie, I just bought a refurbished acer aspire 3, it's had many glitches and the fan runs constantly so I need to send it back - my problem is I want all my data off it first! I tried to reset the way your video showed, I left the computer for literally 10 hours and it still showed 'we just need to do a few things first 1%' so I hit cancel and figured I would shut the computer down then try again, now it's updating and shutting down for hours... I have the Acer Aspire 3, exact same one... however, it's a different issue altogether. Everytime I turn my laptop on, I just get the "acer" screen. I tried just bout everything I did a ram swap, reinserted the hard drive, the battery, and I messed up the first time I got the blue screen and then the predator Helios 300 somehow made it to my desktop. Then, I put all my important files in Onedrive just incase this happened again. It got so bad that every time I turned it on it'd show the logo, load way longer than usual then I hard shut down and itd just do it again. (thank god i backed it up, because I DID end up having to reset it.) Mind you, the past two weeks my KZbin videos, Minecraft, any game I played kept lagging. (Freezing, then going.) It stopped after I was on that certain app for a couple minutes so I just delt with it. But I guess my pc just couldn't take it anymore and completely started moving slow. EVERY app did the freeze lag thing. First, it was the black screen. It loaded but then just showed black. I'm in the process of resetting it right now and cleaning everything out but I'm keeping my files. If this problem comes up again I'll remove everything and clean the drive. Thanks for your help. It wouldn't even go to the blue screen anymore. But I do have a question, I recently updated everything to fix the problems and it kept going. Does this sound like a virus? Or just computer hardware malfunction?

I did a soft factory reset and then a hard reset and took everything off my laptop (Acer E15) because I updated my nvidia graphics driver but it made my games glitchy and unplayable then my laptop took forever to reinstall but eventually got it done. Then it wouldn’t log me in because it asked for my username and password but wouldn’t recognize it so i powered it off and turned it back on.
