You rock, I didn't have the lines lined up on the arrows on the bump part, so it was a pain to string and it would click, but not feed. Soon as I lined it up, BOOM. Thanks a bunch!

My gas-powered Echo carburetor started leaking and so I decided to go with the cordless version. Just bought a Craftsman 40V trimmer. This one has two holes in the spool. Is there any reason your method wouldn't work on this one, since I don't want to pay $7 for 20 feet of line on a replacement spool. Yikes! That sounds really expensive. Any secrets or tricks I should know before trying it?

Do you know the max gauge size? I'm using .08 but want to go up to .095 at least since I burn through the .08 very quickly.

Do any of the cheaper Ryobi One+ string trimmers have this kind of string dispenser or is it just on the brushless one? I want the brushless, but don't really NEED it (very small yard) and it's $40+ more. Reviews of some of the cheaper ones say you have to buy the preloaded reels when you run out of string. They're apparently not reloadable.
@scratchgolf5 жыл бұрын
I'm not aware of any

Bummer. I guess if I can ever kill my Stihl FE55 corded trimmer, I'll be looking at the brushless Ryobi one then. Unfortunately, it looks like this thing will probably last forever. For corded, it's a freakin' beast!
